Health and Fitness

I have combined my love of health and fitness with my obsession for research to create a go to list of resources, recommendations and exercises for all of AS Family Midwifery's clients.
Most of the current advice involves treating your pregnant body like a sick body, which is isn't! Pregnancy is a normal physiological state and for most women it is an excellent and safe time to not only continue exercise but start exercising for the first time.
Not only does regular exercise help improve outcomes for mom, it affects the health of your baby before he or she is even born!
in addition to exercise, everything from how you walk and sit to how your sleep at night can affect your pregnancy and labor.
My hope is that my research helps you feel confident in your decisions on how to stay healthy and active during your pregnancy and empower you to take your health into your own hands during this special time.
